Body Action has been in commerce since 1999, made by Product Max Group in Florida. It's a value-priced range that mixes conventional lubricants with numbing gels registered as over-the-counter drugs.

Worth knowing before you buy: this range uses conventional chemistry, not clean-ingredient formulation. Ultra Glide contains glycerin, propylene glycol and both methyl- and propylparaben. If you're sensitive to any of those, a glycerin-free lubricant will suit you better.

The desensitizing products — Prolong, Climax Control, Butt Eze, Anal Glide Extra — contain 5% benzocaine. Numbing works, but pain is information: it tells you to slow down or add lubricant. Anything that mutes it can let you carry on through friction or a tear you'd otherwise stop for, and it can transfer to a partner. Use sparingly, never to push through pain, and don't use it to make something possible that isn't comfortable.
