Just not for me
I had this vibe since October and it seemed to work fine until recently. It kept losing power no matter how many times I replaced the batteries. I could use it for about 5 minutes and then it would stop working. Today, the cap of vibe got so hot that it burnt my skin. I have a small burn on my pant line that is red and blistered. I looked at the cap and the whole top piece that turns it on melted! Clearly there's a manufacturing error here and I would advise people not to buy this item. Note, I have had other Doc Johnson vibes before and this has never happened. I'm super concerned that this could happen to somebody else. This is a reasonably good deal. However, I have only had it for 2 months with moderate use and it has become weak even with new batteries and then today it started smelling like burning plastic. Obviously at this point its possibly unsafe to use. If it lasted 6-10 more months I wouldn't have been more satisfied with the purchase.
Strong vibration and my girlfriend likes it. A good traditional vibrator. The outside is silky smooth. Not particularly kinky but gets the job done. 6 people found this helpful
For a simple vibrator, gets the job done, small enough for rear entry and strong enough to get the job done ;)
Vibrations are good, not too noisy, it's about the right size for anal insertion. Too bad it doesn't have a flared base so you have to be careful. Worth what it cost.
I bought this vibrator about a year ago and have just now replaced it. It has a solid and hassle free design and is perfect for anyone looking for their first vibrator. Don't use it during your time of the month, as the plastic covering gets easily stained. Over time the motor slowed down significantly, and it was sucking batteries like no other. But I kind of used it excessively... Still, it was a very good vibrator.
This is my FAVORITE vibrator. I have a handful of different toys and this is always my go to. It is strong, you can change the vibration strength to being just right for you, and there are no silly vibration modes that you have to cycle through to get what you want. Simple, sleek, easy to clean, quiet, great toy!

Got it for my girlfriend and the material it is made of is pretty dry and seems to dry out moisture rather quick its more of matte finnish and not a smooth glossy finnish.
Works pretty well and has a very nice texture, gets annoying sometimes when your trying to turn it off and the battery part opens instead.
Doc Johnson Velvet Touch Vibe 7", Dusty Rose:This is my first vibe that I have purchased since approximately 3 years ago.It takes two Double "A" batteries, which even I could figure out how to put in!(I'm not that mechanically handy ;-)It IS waterproof, which means that this vibe cleans up easily, which is ALWAYS a plus.It is quite smooth to the touch, too.Am very pleased with this particular purchase;and would recommend this product to anyone who is looking fora good, strong vibrator.The only downside/"con" that I have seen is that it does seem to use upthe batteries quite quickly. The product didn't live up to the hype. I've only had this product for 48 hours and it's already busted! The twist cap didn't break or crack. The thing died on me. I put brand new rechargable batteries in and it didn't turn on. I tried another set of batteries and it didn't turn on either. So I untwisted the cap and the metal strip down the inside of the tube broke off. Not really happy about it. I'm glad I didn't spend a hugh amount of money on this product.
I am a beginner, so I wanted something basic and cheap to start. This vibrator it's very good, considering the price and everything. The quality looks great, it's very soft. It's a bit annoying that you can't control the vibrations, there is only one type of speed and pattern, but for the price it's pretty good. One person found this helpful
This is my first vibrator. A friend of mine recommended it as a good first because it's smaller and easy to use. I like how it has the extra inch so that it's easy to handle. It has a nice velvety feel to it. It's phthalate free so it's safe which is a big bonus. It's straight so it's better for clit use then it is for g-spot use but you get what you see. I've had it for about a year so I'm going to upgrade to a g-spot vibe but I'll keep this one because it's pretty quiet and it does get the job done. Also it's great for playing with you partner. My wife loved her gift. For a while I wasn't sure I was going to get her to leave it alone. It really is pretty quiet but not silent. You can easily use it with others in the next room and honestly it can be used if you do not have it on high, maybe med to med low speed, with others in the same room.
Assuming you're looking at this because you want a basic cheap vibrator for whatever reason, this works okay. I mean for this price you're not going to get the end all be all of sex toys, this is meant just for a 'hey let's try this thing over the weekend trip'... it wont last so don't expect it to, but for the price it's worth it for some cheap thrills. If you want a lasting sex toy look into buying a 100% medical grade silicon dildo and a quality vibrator as an aside.
So I'm a beginner when it comes to vibrators and I've been wanting one for months but never had the courage to get one as I'm still living with my parents. I got this cute vibrator in the mail yesterday and I fell in love with it. I thought it was going to be quite small in width/girth from what other reviewers has said but to my surprise, its a good size! Its true to color and has a velvet touch, very smooth and soft to the touch.However, I would suggest any beginner to start slowly with this because its very strong in power. If you use it for clitorial stimulation you'll be finished within seconds.Vaginal lasts well and you DO feel it throughout the vibrator but be sure to use lube even if you produce enough naturally (obviously) because if you take it out for to long, your vibrator will be quite dry a bit bit hard to use.As for the on/off situation. They say to turn the cap tightly but I was quite gentle with it and it didn't break or anything of that sort (as of yet.) You just place in the batteries, twist on the cap so its on firlmy and then twist the bottom section to turn it on or off! Its that simple. Cleaning it has been easy. You can use a warm water and soap but I tried using feminine wash instead and it cleaned it just as well. It does have that plastic smell though.So far I really love it and I'm happy I made this purchase. I really liked the style of this vibrator, but it is made poorly and only lasted about one month at the most. At first, the vibrations became less intense, and the vibrator overheated, eventually not working at all. One person found this helpful
